At UK Cat College we are now offering preparation classes, Life in the UK, B1, B2, A1 & A2.

Contents:
The 3rd revised official Study materials were published by the Home Office in early 2013. Any tests taken on or after 25 March 2013 are based on the information found in Life in the United Kingdom: A guide for new resident’s 3rd edition.
Our classes focus on Chapters 2 to 5 of the above-mentioned publication.
Topics covered in the tuition sessions are paper based as well as online. all the testable chapters included in our study guides are:

B1 Approved SELT Exam

You must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in at least CEFR level B1 in Speaking and Listening for:
• Indefinite Leave to Remain (to settle)
• British Citizenship

If you wish to apply for British Citizenship or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), you need to demonstrate your knowledge of life in the United Kingdom as well as proving that yours English speaking and listening skills.

Our course combines English Language with Citizenship context. An experienced teacher assesses all students at the time of enrolment. The courses are for those students who have a standard of English below CEFR Entry 3. If you are not sure what your level of English is, we will arrange a free diagnostic assessment for you.

The B1 SELT course will help you to:
• Improve your English.
• Prepare you for the B1 qualification in Speaking and Listening.
• Learn more about life in the UK to facilitate effective integration.


NOTE.
Remember you are required to have an approved B1 Speaking and Listening Qualification and take the Life in the UK Test.

You also need to take a ‘Life in the UK’ Test as part of your application.

B2 Approved SELT Exam

UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires non-EEA nationals to pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in speaking and listening at level A2 after two and a half years in the UK, in order to qualify for further leave to remain on the five-year partner or parent route to settlement.

A2 SELT - GESE Grade 3 - English Test for Visa Extension

You must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in at least CEFR level A2 in Speaking and Listening for:
• Family partner (extension), required two and a half years after passing an A1 test
• Family parent (extension), required two and a half years after passing an A1 test
